Another playful intersection between a turn of the century structure and a contemporary core. we radically reconfigured the interior of this 1929 townhouse with fewer rooms and loftier spaces. The remaining rooms are grouped into geometric forms and pulled away from the shell. The circulation then winds its way throughout the interstitial spaces. The intervention erases antiquated notions of stacked levels. Separating the content from its wrapper, it makes clear the distinction between the thisness and thatness of the house's anatomy.
